Wote for the best picture of the Zagreb open orienteering event on our e-mail and win a prize from us. All those who will vote for the picture which will be selected as a best one will get a prize.

Results are online and some pictures also (not a web gallery so you will have to pick one by one. It is worth doing it because there are some really goodones)

More than 400 entries
Every day we are growing in numbers. We have 408 entries (104 on kids race, 154 on"big" race and 150 on secondary school championships.

Course lenght:

Due to few entries in category W45 we have merged the category with W35.Thank you for your understanding.

A little more than 360 competitiors will start on Sunday. We have 147 runners in official IOF categories, 150 runners on OPEN category for a secondary school championships and almoust 70 runners on kids race. Start list and course lenght will be available on Thursday.
Day before entry dead line
We will also have two competitors from Sweden so we wish them a warm welcome to our event. We are still expecting majority of entries during the evening. As we expected we will have about 100 runners in kids race and over 150 runners on a "big race". If the weather will support us the number of competitors could increase to 300.

3 days before entry dead line we are close to 80 entries
Today we received entries from Netherland so we have country no.7 present on our event. Entries are comming more friquently this days so expect changes during the weekend.
Runners from six countries - 4 days before entry dead line
Runners from Austria, Slovakia, Brasil, Romania, Srbia and Montenegro and Croatia have made entries so far. We expect majority of entries on last day of entry dead line.

First entries
Today we received first entries from Austria, Romania and Slovakia. So will have a international competition on the streets of Zagreb again.

Two weeks before the race
Running shoes Salomon, backpacks and some sport siuts are part of the prizes and tombola. Two weeks before the race we can tell you that M21 will have course lenght of 5600 m. and W21 about 5000 m. with 25-29 contol points.
Important staff:
- all runners will have to wear number bibs on their chest
- course will pass through some traffic streets. You will have to pass those streets on the guarded places. Guard will have the right to stop every runner if he thinks that it is to dangerous to pass the road at that moment. Every runner who will lose more than 30 seconds on that pass will get deduction from the overall time.
- from finish to start there will not be any marks. You will get a mini map whith the exact route to the start

50% discount for A-finalist
All competitors which have participated in any of the A-finals in past two years on JWOC or WOC will get a 50% discount on their entry fee.

2 DAYS EVENT
Zagreb Open will be organized on Sunday 15th of October and the day before you will also have an oportunity to run. Croatian sprint cup race will be organized on saturday 14th of October in the most beautifull part of Croatia. Plitvice national park will host orienteeriers for the first time, so take an oportunitiy to combine orienteering with your visit to national park and beautifull lakes. You can plan a weekend in Croatia with two races.

RESULTS FROM 2005.
You can see the results here. 180 runners from 4 countries: Italy, Slovenia, Netherlands and Croatia runned through the streets and parks of Zagreb. We also had 101 participants in kids race what makes 281 runners in last year edition of the event. That is a biggest number last year in Croatia.

BIG TOMBOLA
At the end of Zagreb open event there will be a big tombola with many gifts. Every competitor which croses the finish line will get a coupon for tombola so be here and win a price.

KIDS RACE
Biggest kids orienteering race in Croatia will start just before the "Zagreb open". First start is at 10.00. More informations here.
