FEW DAYS MORE FOR ENTRIES
Dear orienteering friends. Few days more and entries should be sent to us. We are glad to say that everything is going as planed and you can expect an interesting event. We will confirm your entries on wednesday 13th of October due to the fact that we are on Junior European cup until than. Hopefully we will see you in large numbers.

CROATIAN CUP
Croatian federation decided that tis event will also count for Croatian Cup in mens 21 category.

KIDS RACE
Biggest kids orienteering race in Croatia will start just before the "Zagreb open". First start is at 10.00. More informations here.

WR event in Zagreb
On the 17th of October The Middle distance World ranking event and the 4th edition of Zagreb Open will take place in the center of the Croatian capitol city. A perfect way to do sightseeing and enjoy orienteering at the same time!
The start of the race will be placed almost in the very center of the city, but surprisingly, that doesn't mean that there will be no forest running. On contrary, in one moment the runners will have to run at high speed through the heart of the old town, merging through tricky narrow streets and parks and watching out for the pedestrians (remember Venice?) and in the next one they will jump into the real hundred years old forest, which will require classsical orienteering skills.

The organizers from Orienteering Club Vihor have organized this unique event for the past few years and Zagreb open is known for the solid organization and good media coverage. However, now it's for the first time that this race counts as the World Ranking event. But it's not just Elite runners that are invited to enjoy this race in Zagreb. OK Vihor is also known as an organizer of well visited kid's "races". This time they expect no less than 100 children (aged 0-12). And, of course, there are classes for veterans and juniors as well.

Zagreb open is on schedule on 17th of October 2004 and those who want more can run the Croatian cup event taking place one day before just outside Zagreb. Exciting weekend in Croatia is awaitng you in October!

So, in case you have missed the successful international event that was held in June in the wilderness around Delnice, you can now try out the streets and forests of Zagreb. Different stuff but still very nice and interesting. Croatia is definitely becoming more and more popular destination for orienteers from all around the world. You should try it as well!

Zagreb Tourist board has sponsored a little gift for every competitor crosing the finish line.

2 DAYS EVENT
Zagreb Open will be organized on Sunday 17th of October and the day before you will also have an oportunity to run. Croatian cup race will be organized on saturday 16th of October. You can plan a weekend in Croatia with two races.

Today we have received the information from IOF that our competition will be IOF world ranking event (WRE).

Hopefully you will join us next year in our beautifull town Zagreb. You can expect interesting orienteering event with mixture of forest, park and town orienteering.
