If you work brings you to Zagreb or souroundings do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to give you all orienteering excitment you need. If you are lookin a club which will host you during your stay in Croatia, you have found it.

You are not elite runner!? It doesn't metter! We have runners of all ages, sex and experience.

We have great friends outside of Croatia which have been a part of our club for some time and they still are a part, because when you join us for once you are always in our minds and stories.
Marta Prekopova (SVK), Mary Williams (SCO), Francisco Delgado (ESP)... are some of the runners which gave our club an international spirit.
Zagreb Open - orienteering Event with a spirit
Our club pruodly presents one of the fastest way of Zagreb sightseeing. Enjoy orienteering and visiting the historical sights of Croatian capitol. If you are on the way to street event in Venice you have to stop in Zagreb and try this event too. Every year in the middle of October we have fast, furious and interesting courses in the middle of Zagreb.
Ackov Kup
is the two days competition organized every year in the spring, usually opens the orienteering season when you experienced the first scents of spring.
It will take you to maps somewhere near Zagreb. It is one of the oldest and the biggest orienteering competition in Croatia where every year, around 250 runners, are coming to participate.
Ackov Kup is a simple, modest competition, where you will find technically demanding courses, feel the friendly atmosphere and enjoy the organization. The continental moderate hilly terrain with many contour details on the slopes chanllenges you to test your orienteering skills. See you in spring.
O-Training camps
We invite you to our orienteering promotion activities in Croatia. You can spend your holidays in Croatia practising your favourite sport and enjoying the weather, the food and the amazing terrains. Come and do orienteering all over Croatia. The variety of the terrains is tremendous.

Finish national team (twice - 2001) and few other groups from Finland and Norway already tried it. We had even a group of orienteerers from United Arab Emirates. Why don't try it by yourselves! You will also have the chance to compare your running time with the results of the world best orienteers in CRNI LUG, SOLARSKE SUME, DELNICE

In the Zagreb area we are using 5-6 maps. From Zagreb you can also travel to Gorski Kotar, Delnice and Rijeka or Opatija (4-5 maps) and/or Rovinj, at the coast (2 maps) in one day, or you can stay a couple of days at one place and then move on.
In Opatija and Rovinj you can sleep in the beds just besides the sea coast.
If you want, we can propose you a program according to your wishes.

Everything is planned and developed by a group of expert orienteering runners, organizers of the most important events in Croatian orienteering (like Miltary World Orienteering Championship, International Trophies like Alpe Adria Cup) and certificated IOF Event advisers. We work and compete for the Orienteering Club Vihor of Zagreb, and are teh board members of the Croatian Orienteering Federation for the last twenty years.

Suomi orienteering team in Croatia
From 19th to 29th of March 2001 Croatia was host to the top orienteerers from Finland. They were running on two day orienteering event Ackov kup in the region of Istria. This competition was official opening of the orienteering season in Croatia. First day was a competition for Croatian cup and second day was a Park race which is counting for Alpe Adria park kup. Alpe Adria park kup is a new competition between Slovenian and Croatian orienteerers. Hopefully one day this competition will spread among neighbouring countries.

During their stay Finish orienteerers made some good orienteering trainings in the region of Gorski kotar using the maps from the Military world games and near Zagreb on the maps around the capitol city.
